Mombasa is a beautiful Kenyan city mixed filled with exotic and scenic attractions, fantastic activities and tropical ambience. Mombasa is the largest city on the Kenyan coast and combines city excitement with beach relaxation. The coastal area features nearly 500 kilometres of tranquil white beaches, golden sand dunes, warm aqua water and idyllic secluded islands. Mombasa is a historic city with an old town and Fort Jesus, now a national monument and museum. Lapped by the Indian Ocean, Mombasa has an amazing shoreline with white sandy beaches stretched out from the South to the North Coast, readily accessible to all. They say life’s at ease with the ocean breeze, spending time watching the ocean can be very therapeutic, especially when you know you have the beach at your disposal any time you need to seek solace.

Malindi on the other hand is located just a few hours north of Mombasa, and offers complete relaxation combined with world-class scuba diving and outstanding international and local cuisine. Watamu, like Malindi, is a small beach village with a few small shops. The beaches are one of the main attractions and the coral reefs offer some of the best diving in Kenya

Iconic gateways safari welcomes you to explore this part of the country with us and many other places after all our motto is CREATING BEAUTIFUL AND EVERLASTING MEMORIES!!

PROPOSED ITENARARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Arrive the hotel in the morning and spend the rest of the day relaxing in the room, poolside and beach.

DAY 2: WATER SPORTS

Kenya and in particular the coast is one of the finest destinations for water sports of all kinds. Our recommended water sport activities bring the water sport fascination to reality for all ages and fitness levels alike. Whether exploring Kenya’s Swahili Coast above water or below. For adventure lovers; scuba diving, deep sea fishing, wind surfing, kite surfing, snorkeling safaris, jet skiing are some great ways to unwind in the sun. For those looking for more laid back activities; how about a gentle boat trip though the mangrove forest or watching fish dart under a glass bottom boat.

DAY3: FORT JESUS & HALLER PARK VISIT

After Breakfast you have the chance to explore one of Kenya’s major touristic attraction. The fort Jesus was built in 1593 by the Portuguese, but later used by the Arabs as torture rooms, prison cells where slaves were kept in captivity before being shipped away. Located at the end of Nkrumah Road in Mombasa CBD, Fort Jesus is a famous tourist attraction in Mombasa and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The eye-catching structure immediately ushers you into history as you begin to explore the massive fort that was built by the Portuguese in 1593-1596; it was designed by famous Milanese architect Giovanni Battista Cairati, a well-respected architect by the Portuguese

DAY 3: MAMBA VILLAGE & WILD WATERS

After Breakfast especially if you have kids Take advantage of the opportunity to see East Africa’s largest crocodile farm at Mamba Village Center Not only will you acquire superior knowledge of these fascinating reptiles, but you can also ride on horseback and admire the beautiful botanical garden and its aquarium. Situated in Nyali, Mamba Village is one of East Africa’s largest crocodile farms. With daily tours along the farm and a separate playground for kids to enjoy when they get bored with the tour, the highlight of the tour is the feeding time when all the blood-thirsty crocodiles fight for food

4: Take A Trip By Dhow To Wasini Island

After breakfast enjoy a trip to Wasini Island lies in the south of coast and it has an area of only five square kilometers. Trips to the island by dhow from Mombasa are very popular, as visitors are always excited to see dolphins that often cruise by. It is also a wonderful idea for passengers to stop to snorkel or dive near the coral reefs along the way. The trip provides a rich cultural experience since ancient Swahili villages lie around the coastal scrub. Explore the Shimoni Caves, thought to have held slaves before their shipment to Arabia, and then stop by Wasini Village for some tasty seafood yum

Day 5: Visit Shimba Hills National Reserve

Shimba Hills National Reserve is the perfect option if you are in search of a quiet getaway from the commercial hub of the city. Shimba Hills is home to a number of endangered plant species, birds and animals. Visitors will be taken aback by the sheer beauty of the surroundings, which boast enchanting waterfalls, woodlands, savanna, lily-top ponds and a rich rain forest. Don’t miss the opportunity to see one of the highest concentrations of elephants in Kenya, as well as leopards, sable antelopes and an abundant bird life.
